This policy explains what data PaperQED collects on this website and in the product, and how we protect it.
Legal basis
PaperQED processes personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP, Law No. 27 of 2022).
Your documents are not used to train models
Documents you upload or check are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. Where our AI providers offer it, we configure them to retain no data.
What happens to a document you check
- You upload or paste it. It travels to us encrypted (TLS).
- We store it encrypted, separate from other users and campuses.
- PaperQED reads it only to run the checks you start: it looks up your references and compares each claim with its source.
- The results stay in your account. The document is never used to train AI models.
- You can delete it, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
What we collect
On this website we use privacy-friendly analytics without cookies or personal profiles. When you create an account, we store your name, email address and the documents and libraries you add.
How we use it
We use your email address to run your account: sign-in codes, security notices and receipts. We don't sell or share it for advertising.
Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants
If you connect PaperQED to an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client), you approve it on a consent screen. It then receives only the results of the PaperQED tools it calls in your chat, within the permissions you approved. We store which app you connected, the permissions and when it was last used, plus encrypted-at-rest hashes of its access tokens. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings → Developer → Connected apps; its access ends immediately.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and kept separate per user and per campus.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing privacy@paperqed.com.
